Baltimore Ravens Vs. Green Bay Packers Betting Odds And Analysis

The Green Bay Packers travel to Baltimore Sunday to face off against the Ravens in a game that once was expected to be a potential Super Bowl preview. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson appears to be on the wrong side of questionable for Sunday’s game forcing sportsbooks to move the betting line for this Week 15 game. The opening odds had the Ravens as 4.5-point underdogs, but they ballooned to 6.5 as of Friday.

Jackson is nursing a sprained ankle so that is a particularly troubling sign even if he does play. Jackson is known for his rushing ability and propensity to extend plays. Assuming he is at less than 100% or inactive, the Packers will be in the driver’s seat with a clear advantage at quarterback thanks to Aaron Rodgers.

Packers Train Keeps Rolling Despite Injuries Everywhere

Between COVID-19 and injuries, the Green Bay Packers have been playing shorthanded all season. None of that has mattered as the team boasts a 10-3 record despite being without top corner Jaire Alexander and top offensive lineman David Bakhtiari for most of the season.

Adding in COVID-19 complications, nose tackle Kenny Clark was placed on the list and will be out for this game. That will be a huge loss for the defense but this weekend could signal the return of Alexander who was designated for return on Dec. 4. RB Aaron Jones did not practice on Thursday but is expected to be out there for Green Bay.

Overall, the roster is a bit thin on depth, but QB Aaron Rodgers is a leading MVP candidate. His ability to elevate his teammates and continue to win games is second to none.

Ravens Preparing For Life Without Lamar Jackson?

Reports as of Friday say that Jackson participated in a walk-through but was officially inactive at practice. Coach John Harbaugh did say that Jackson has a chance to play this week. Even an 80% healthy Jackson would be a welcome sight for the Ravens, who could also be without WR Marquise Brown.

Moreover, Safety Chuck Clark was placed on the COVID list, taking another starter away from the game. Overall, the Ravens are in a tough spot, especially if Brown and Jackson do not play. At full health, this is an uphill battle by itself. Rodgers is playing the best football of his career ,and no defense has been able to stop him yet.

Packers Vs. Ravens Betting Pick

Assuming no more COVID-based inactives, which might be a foolish expectation, the Packers should win this game by more than a touchdown even on the road. A healthy Jackson was already struggling to put up points for this offense. At less than 100%, Rodgers should be able to outscore the Ravens with ease.

Our pick: Packers -6.5
